Bits and Pieces

The Quick Cards Challenge was to use up left over scraps and so this card was born. using pieces of left over Xmas paper for the letters which I then decorated with various odds and ends. For the"O" I made a ribon wreath by knotting off cuts of ribbon and cord onto a peice of wire . Then this I mounted onto an off cut of gold embossed acetate.

From Our House To Yours

Made with papers from Cute Companions Winter Tales CD. I love this decoupage with the opening door and  added some Flowersoft to give extra texture.

Mother and Child

Clare's Challengs at Docrafts and a  brickwall inspired this card. The challenge was to use elements from this photo to create the card.My mind is firmly set on creating Christmas cards at the moment so downloaded the Mother and Child image from Docraft's Christmas images  as a focal point on my card

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

This card I made using the free downloadable Cool Yule Papers from cardmakingand papercraft.com for their Quick Cards bonus papers challenge . Very modern papers and not my usual choice but I was really pleased with the result . Doing these challenges has made me think "outside the box"  for some pleasing results.

Teddy's Christmas

Another card inspired by Crafter's Companion challenge 5 but this time more traditional.
The background paper and the decoupaged wreath and teddy came from Cute Companions Winter Tales CD.This time I decided to cut out the panels backing one with acetate embellished with snowflakes cut from a piece of chiffon ribbon.
For the inside of the card I made backing paper using cranberry, clover, lettuce and gold Alchol Inks. I love swirling these inks together and seeing the different effects they achieve.

NOEL

Noel-
My first card on my blog so I hope I do it corectly! This was inspired by the Crafters Companion Challenge 5# and Bev's extra challenge of an Untraditional Christmas. It certainly is a change from my normal red, green and gold Chrismas colours.
The background came from A Winter's Tale CD. Which I printed out in black and white and enhanced with Spray and Sparkle. Then added panels of silver mirri card and glittered black card.
A circle of white 3D illusion film backed with black and white paper makes a base for the decoupaged and glittered  tree topper . I added a few silver snowflakes to both the front and back of the illusion film but it's a shame the film doesn't have the effect on the photograph that it does in real life,
Hand made pink poinsettia and holly add a dash of colour.
