Oh I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside...

I've found it so difficult to get a good photo of this easel card either the colours are'nt true or Humphrey is too light etc. So I've put 4 different photos on here hoping to give you the idea.
This card I made for Crafters Companion Challenge Blog no 13 - Here Comes Summer and what better view of summer than the beach.

I started by printing off the frame from the Adorables cd and glued it to a piece of blue Coordinations paper. Made up the frame and sanded it back to give a weathered look. The picture background I made from cream crumpled card for the beach and a lighter blue coordinations paper for the sea and sky- crumpling the bottom part for the sea and sanding back the sky .

Humphrey I downloaded from http://www.crafterscompanion.co.uk/

Butterfies

For this card I started with embossing and cutting out large butterflies from  using Crafters Companion Teddy Surprise and Butterflies embossing board and some backing papers from the Adorables CD.Then created a backing paper by overlapping them onto a lilac card.I laid down a band of silver and gold leafing flakes and to the side of this added the butterfly border from the board.
The pretty Blackthorn fairy was coloured in with pro markers and mounted onto some 3D illusion film .
Finishing touches were added by embossing and cutting out some of the small butterflies and raising these then adding some glitter.

Afternoon Tea

Quickly posting this entry to the Quick Cards Food challenge http://www.cardmakingandpapercraft.com/challenge/quick-cards-food-challenge . A trifold card using some digi stamps from La Pasche coloured with promarkers. The verse reads

I cannot sit and chat with you
The way I'd really like to do.
But brew yourself a cup of tea,
I'll think of you, you think of me.
And if you're really feeling blue
Enjoy a cupcake with me too.

Never Ending Love

Pale green vellum with matted rectangles of silver and pale green Hunkydory card form the background with some strips of  lace border that I punched out of a white paper sprayed with a glitter spray.
The bride came from Debbi Moore's 100 Beautiful Ladies CD . I printed out the image 4 times and ``decoupaged it adding some glitter highlights. A metal floral bouquet and gold bow added a finishing touch.

Aqua and Brown

Guess what? Another one for Crafter's Companion Aqua and Brown Challenge  . I enjoyed making the acordian pleated flower for a change and cut a rough frame out of backing paper and the copper metallic backing card to frame the pro marker image.

My Brother

Another one inspired by Crafter's Companion Challenge (Here). Pity the colours aren't quite true to life Again using backing papers from the Adorables cd .

Time for Tea

The Crafter's Companion Challenge (here) for April is Aqua and Brown and I've really enjoyed going "sepia" with my pro markers..My backing papers are from Crafter's Companion Adorables Christmas CD but the backing papers I find work well any time.
The image if from Flower Soft but I felt it worked well with the old fashioned look.

Charlie

I love working with the promarkers. This card for my nephew's birthday was inspired by Cardmaking and papercraft magazine challenge . If you would like to use this image and can manage to copy it feel free.

It's nice to have a friend who is all ears.

Running late with the Crafter's Companion Challenge for March with the theme of Easter . Hope I get it on in time. For the main image I created a digi stamp from a photo of my daughter. and had my first play with promarkers( I'm always way behind in trying out new products) . I will try to post a copy of the image but at the moment the pc doesn't want to play.

The card is a piece of A4 with the edges concertinerd to greate a plce to fix the acetate. My background I created using a stencil and promarkers to keep the colour coordination and the sprayed with Spray and Sparkle for a bit of a lift. Then added the greeting "Everyone needs a friend who is all ears"  tearing around the words and curling in the corner.

A spray of flowers and mini eggs decorates the top edge of my image.First attempt at making these flowers and I was pleased with the result and how simple they were .
I took a Peter Rabit image from AWinter Tale Cd. , decoupaged him up on top of the acetate then added some more mini eggs tumbling out of his sack.

Not sure if you can copy this digi stamp but feel free to use if you can.

Wedding Day

This months Crafter's Companion Challenge is Romance. So here I've used Popcorn bear and Coconut image from the Frosty and Bright CD covering the toffee apples they hold with the Flower Soft bridal bouquet.
Went to the Adorables CD for the plate and stand templates and used the delicate backing paper from the same cd printing the two larges plates on card and the smallest on vellum. I embossed some of the swirls on the vellum and used Spray and Sparkle Iridescent glitter to sparkle the plates and stand.
Added a top hat , veil , peel offs and some rhinestones to finish off.

Blue Tit

Having a play with my Christmas pressie. The Feathered Friends CD  from Peerless Designs has some beautiful images on it and my  new style of card at the moment is the twisted easel card.

New Life- New Love

Finally back into card making after Christmas and the Crafter's Companion Sketch Challenge for January- . SOMETHING NEW - has set the inspiration flowing again.
This card for a New baby has a butterfly background downloaded from Crafter's Companion site and printed onto vellum which gives it a soft look. The other paper comes from the Adorables CD. I've decoupaged the  main Beatrix Potter image and added and extra raised butterfly from the background. I love these side twister easel cards - so easy to do but effective.
